Grand Procession of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Held on Chariot in Tallapudi

The Dasara festival celebrations concluded on a grand scale in Tallapudi village of East Godavari district. On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadasami, the festival deities of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy were beautifully decorated and placed on a specially adorned chariot.

Under the guidance of temple priests, the grand procession was taken through the main streets of the village. A large number of local devotees participated with immense devotion and offered special prayers after seeking the blessings of the deities.

Throughout the rally, women and youth performed traditional Kolatam, spiritual dances, and Teenmaar dances. The grand procession also featured fireworks, bringing festive fervour to the entire village.

In Andhra Pradesh, conducting chariot processions on Vijayadasami marks the ceremonial conclusion of the ten-day Dasara festival, bringing communities together in celebration.
