TDP Candidate Dr Avula Govindarajulu Elected Unopposed as Atmakur Municipal Chairman

Dr Avula Govindarajulu of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been elected unanimously as the Chairman of Atmakur Municipality in Nandyal district. Following the end of the deadline for withdrawal of nominations, election officials officially declared his election. Election Officer Baby presented the official declaration form to Dr Govindarajulu at the Atmakur Municipal Office.

The post of Atmakur Municipal Chairman was reserved for the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category. Dr Priyanka Bai from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) had also filed her nomination for the post. However, after discussions between the leaders of both political parties, the election was concluded unanimously.

Dr Govindarajulu has been providing medical services in Atmakur town for a long time and maintains strong ties with the local public. Following the announcement of his unanimous election, TDP cadres and supporters celebrated by distributing sweets and bursting firecrackers near the municipal office.
